One of the biggest trends right now, that made its appearance evident and prominent at the IIFA Utsavam 2017 are these gorgeous ruffles ! The looks with the ruffle trend was all over the red carpet at IIFA with its own unique accents. If you thought ruffles and frills are kiddish or too girlish, well, if its done properly it gives that perfect high-fashion look which makes a statement of its own. Lets now see who all adorned this ruffle trend and if they could pull it off or not!

Handloom and retro ruffles, what a stunning amalgamation! This 6 yards of handloom beauty was given just what it requires to turn it into a red carpet worthy look by inculcating the ruffle blouse. We are sold for anything handloom and handmade but this time, also for the dignified aura and simplicity Samantha carried in this look. How do you nail it each time Samantha? How?!

We think this is the perfect way to wear the ruffle trend- Dramatically structured ruffles on a textured garment which becomes the focal point in the entire look. Details that high-fashion stuff are made of !! Totally a red carpet worthy look and Rakul Preet Singh pulled it off like she owned it! Another element we loved about this styling is that the hair was pulled back in a sleek style and no accessories were added so it doesn’t interfere with the ruffle game. Total winner !

This pristine look is a tad bit different from the rest of the ruffle pack. The inclusion of ruffles in this look is so dainty and feminine through the embroidered cape and the  front detailing of the silhouette. The ruffles added a romantic touch to the look and Lakshmi Manchu looked like a princess from the bygone era.

Ruffles overdose?! Well, looks like it 🙂 It is very important to know the proportion of ruffles to be used as there is a very thin line between going OTT and being exquisite. The addition of ruffles in a toned down color worked in favor of the entire look and was definitely not overboard. We just wished Pragya Jaiswal tried something different with her hair or makeup to give the entire look a dimension but nonetheless, Pragya sure looked that she had fun wearing it!

So ladies add some drama to your wardrobe with some ruffles and let the curls just not stay in your hair but add them to your clothing as well 🙂 Oh ya, also tell us who do think carried this ruffle trend at IIFA 2017 in the comments box below or also on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram 🙂
