Happy Monday! 🙂 We all have that basic black dress in our wardrobe which is a staple and which comes to our rescue when we have nothing to wear. Right? So, as summers are approaching, I wanted to do outfit posts where in I show you two ways you can layer up that basic black dress(without having to shoo it off or feel suffocated just because its black and you cant wear it in summers)!
For the first way, I choose to layer the black dress with a floral Kimono. Florals are so summery and bright that they add a fun element to the look. Kimono jacket is a statement in itself and they come in such thin fabrics that you can just wear them on anything in summers and they feel so light. So I chose a Floral kimono to layer up that basic black dress and is perfect for casual outings. Its feminine and edgy as well.
To add a bit of structure to the flowing oversized floral kimono, I belted it up at the waist and added a bit of color with the flats. Hoops are in at the moment and perfect for this look and stacked up some bracelets to amp up the casual look. Finished it with my favorite sling bag in Tan and hair up in a bun 🙂
